The Lanterne Ailsa Fund is an Australian dollar wholesale unit trust offered to qualified Australian investors. The fund employs identical objectives and investment strategies as the offshore offering, the Lanterne Arran Fund.
It is an actively managed long/short equity fund investing primarily in securities of companies within the ASX100. Top down macro themes and bottom up fundamental research combine with active trading to construct a portfolio of long and short stocks predominately from the ASX100 universe.
The Lanterne Ailsa Fund is expected to generate absolute returns in all market conditions, with an emphasis on capital preservation, with a corresponding low volatility of returns.

St Helens VFG asset management was established in January 2006 and is owned by Lanterne Strategic Investors (50%) and VFG Asset Management (50%).
St Helens VFG is an institutionally mandated asset manager investing in the ASX100 universe in a long only style. The investment philosophy is to add value by identifying and investing in companies where earning and the growth of earnings are mispriced by the market.
The investment style is described as ‘Value For Growth’, which has both a top down and bottom up focus which allows us to exploit the inefficiencies across the entire market, and at all stages of the economic cycle. At different stages of the market cycle, we may have a value or growth bias depending on the relative valuation of value and growth stocks.
